On Wednesday 24th January, our girls’ A and B teams played a football match against Bishops Cleeve Primary Academy at SVPS.
Both teams played really well. The B team had a great start with Millie scoring within a few minutes; they continued to work hard and never gave up. Isabella scored another 2 goals, but unfortunately, they lost the match, despite Amelia saving a penalty. Many thanks to the parents who supported the team and helped them with their match play.
The A team were under some pressure during the first half of the match, but they also took an early lead with a lovely goal from Zofia. There were some great saves by Aimee in the first half which resulted in her injuring her hand and having to come out of goal. Sophia did really well as her stand in, but unfortunately they scored a goal to equalise. Harriet, and Mia continued to press on and put the Cleeve goalkeeper under a lot of pressure in the 2nd half. Bella, played well and worked hard in midfield and up front. Defence from Rosie and Alisha was very strong as always.
Well done to Amelia, Millie, Isabella, Tilly, Evie, Ellie, Niamh, Aimee, Sophia, Alisha, Rosie, Harriet, Bella, Mia and Zofia. Thank you to the parents and staff who supported from the side line.
