On Wednesday 2nd Feb our school netball club took
part in a local schools’ netball festival at Cleeve School. Both of our school
teams played extremely well, and the improvement they have made through their
time at netball club has been amazing.
The White bibbed team were full of determination and
enthusiasm and even though they didn’t quite win a match they never gave up and
were still smiling at the end. The Red bibbed team worked really well together
in all areas of the court and won every match, the last match they played
against Grangefield A, who had also won every match, was a close battle;
unfortunately, we lost, which meant SVPS were runners up overall. All the
SVPS netball players enjoyed representing their school and win or lose it’s a
great experience for them. We are extremely proud of them all and they should
also be proud of themselves. The support they gave each other on and off the
court was superb. Many thanks to those parents who came to watch and especially
Naia’s mum who not only stayed to support but also helped organise and
encouraged the White bibbed team.
White Bibbed Team: Naia, Lily, Grace, Imogen, Bay and Anjana
Red Bibbed Team: Darcy, Isabel, Phoebe, Amber, Ella, Sofia and Victoria.
Thank you 'netballers' - from a very proud Mrs Brown.
