On Wednesday 12^th March, our hockey A Team took part in a Hockey Tournament, held at Pates Grammar School. 

We played very well, winning all our group games comfortably, which put us into the finals against the other group winners, Leckhampton. This was a close match with both teams making strong tackles, defending well and good stick skill being used by both teams. We had a few shots at goal, with one shot not quite getting fully over the line. Both teams were under pressure to score the winning goal. With 20 seconds to go, Leckhampton shot on goal, and it went in.  Such a shame for SVPS missing out on a gold spot, but no one can fault their play and team spirit, it just wasn't to be.  They should be very proud of their efforts and winning a silver medal.
