of Governors and the Head Teacher ensure the annual cycle of governance is
completed to the standards required, and with training advise the Governing
Body on procedural and constitutional matters?

Our Governing Body holds three Full Governing Body meetings and a number of other committee meetings per year. Meetings are all held at the school and rarely take longer than an hour and a half to complete.
The Clerks main role is to provide professional clerking services to the Governing Body.
You will:
· Be able to take accurate minutes from your own notes and produce accurate minutes for distribution
· Collate and distribute agendas and associated paperwork in advance of meetings
· · Be available to take minutes at all meetings throughout the year – meetings normally take place on either Tuesday or Thursday and commence at 5.30pm.
· · Provide procedural and legal advice and governance as required
· · Maintain the Governors section of the school website ensuring it is up to date at all times
Experience is desirable but not essential as extensive training will be provided,
Candidates must be competent in the use of email and the internet and have access to a computer. An interest in education is desirable.
