Celebrations around the World

This week we have started our topic 'Celebrations around the World'.  On Tuesday afternoon we were learning about Diwali - The Festival of Light.  We had lots of fun making clay Diva Lamps.  We had to carefully mould the clay into candle holder shapes.  Our lamps will be going in the kiln and then we will be decorating them.  We also explored Rangoli patterns - making and colouring them.  We had lots of fun dressing up and were very lucky to have Mrs Patel do our own henna designs!
